History

The Crescenta Valley Town Council has served the community of the Crescenta Valley since March 16, 1989. It's slogan "The Community that Cares" is fundamental in its efforts of helping to maintain and improve the unincorporated area of the Crescenta Valley. We are one of many town councils in Supervisor Mike Antonovich's 5th District of Los Angeles county.

Our purpose is to provide a forum, through a town meeting, to identify and discuss issues of concern and to represent the residents and businesses in the unincorporated areas of La Crescenta and Montrose. We work with government agencies and local organizations to meet the needs of our community.

Our meetings are held the third Thursday of every month at 7p.m. in the Career Center of Crescenta Valley High School (2900 Community Avenue, La Crescenta), where we hear from our first responders and other representatives. Local residents are encouraged to attend.

We have 9 voting members and 3 alternate members, who are elected in November.  The Election is held at CV High School, Career Center and is open to all registered voters in our unincorporated area. Anyone who has been a registered voter and lived in our area for at least one year is welcome to run for a seat on the council. If you are interested in running in the next election, please contact us the Election Committee Chair.
