9.  Public Comments

     Roy Allmon discussed the need for spot parks and requested help with getting a Memorial Park in our community.

 

      Mark Totten for the library stated that he would be taking a new library position in another city.  He also noted that April 15-21 is National Library Week.

 

     Walter Beal noted that there were parking problems on Prospect Ave., and also on Cloud with big rig parking overnight.  CV TOW ISSUES

 

     Mike Lawler spoke about the lack of Master Plan for Trail Development for our area in reference to the SMMC general plan.

 

     Andy Gero spoke about the need for a street sweeper in and around the street near CVHS.

            C.            Written notice of the proposed amendment(s) to the By-Laws must be

delivered to the members of the Council one week prior to the meeting at which the amendment is to be considered.  The written notice shall be definite as to the exact points to be modified.  Written notice may include notice via e-mail with the stipulation that a return receipt is requested from the sender and received back by each Councilmember notified by e-mail.

Stated that Jeff Riser is looking for the street-sweeper to clean drain on his street; the sign at the corner of La Crescenta off-ramp and Altura was discussed.

 

       Youths and Seniors Committee           Councilmember Cleven

Rosemont Middle School group was well aware of the drug and alcohol problem on the campus.

Councilmember Erickson noted that there will be a forum for GUSD and Glendale College Candidates at our next month’s meeting.

 

President Andrus announced that she is encouraging the Council and the Chamber to work together.
