GENERAL MEETING DECEMBER 20, 2007
MINUTES
CV HIGH SCHOOL CAREER CENTER.
1. Call to order at 7:07 p.m. President Andrus

All Council members present except Council member Choate.
5. Approval of Minutes of November 15, 2007- approved
6. Consent List:
Letter regarding EIR for Verdugo Hills Golf Course;
Letter regarding funding for VH Golf Course to the City of Glendale;
Letter regarding crosswalk at La Crescenta Elementary School.

7. Christmas Spirit Award. Councilmember Beyt
Given to Kevin Hoard of 2200 Waltonia Dr., Montrose
Special thanks to Tim Pattee for being our float driver and son Zack for helping with decorations for the Christmas Float. Council awarded Mr. Pattee with a Starbucks gift card.
8. Special Report from the Glendale Unified School district
The school district discovered defects in the buildings at CV High School from work done by C.W. Driver Management Co., in charge of the renovation construction done at CV in 2002-03.
Superintendent Michael Escalante addressed the problem and said that school funds will be used to fix the problem and that litigation in progress.
John Fenton, Linda Evans, and Alan Everhart each discussed their rolls in the process. Additionally, Eva Luber, Dr. Scott Price and Dr. Lind Young will be involved in this process.
Council and Public were shown a video of details.
9. Public Comments.
Steven Senosi said he was opposed to foreign languages on signage and that he wasn’t a “xenophobic”.
Councilmember Raghavachary stated that the issue of signage was addressed in the
Community Standards District proposed Foothill Blvd. President Andrus asked that Mr. Senosi and Councilmember Raghavachary discuss this after the meeting.
Vicki Guagliardo spoke to the issue of a “Sentimental Journey” to be held at the
La Crescenta Woman’s Club on January 9, 2008. Cost is $15.00.
10. Correspondence: Corresponding Secretary Thomas
Stated that we received a Christmas Card from former CVTC Vice-President, Jaleen Lunt and family.
11. Treasurer’s Report Treasurer Pierce
A written report was given to the council and filed for audit.
12. Farewell President Andrus
Presentation was made to Councilmembers Raghavachary and Choate for their service to the council and the community by President Andrus.
With Councilmember Choate absent, the Council acknowledged Councilmember Raghavachary with a certificate and a plant as a thank you for efforts to beautify our community. Other officials also recognized Councilmember Raghavachary with certificates. Councilmember Choate's will be given to her by President Andrus at a later date.
13. Installation of Newly Elected Councilmembers Supervisor Antonovich
The Council then changed seats with the new Council coming forward. Supervisor Antonovich installed the new Council.
Installed were Councilmembers Grace Andrus, Cheryl Davis, and Frank Beyt and Alternates Liz Arnold, Dennis van Bremen, and Charles Beatty.

15. Installation of Newly Elected Officers Supervisor Antonovich

With permission of the Council, the President's Report was deferred to after the installations so Supervisor Antonovich could get home.
