In celebration of "Growing Together," a tree of unity was
dedicated. Thank you to Valley View Eagles, who sang a few songs; CVHS
ROTC, who presented the colors; and the many organizations and businesses who
sponsored booths and donated food.
Pickens Canyon Park Dedication - Wednesday, March 19, 2008
Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich dedicated the park, honoring the County Parks
Department, California Conservation Corps, residents Stuart Byles and Rich Toyon,
as well as the Town Council, for their efforts on this project. The oak
tree which was dedicated in memory of our fallen hero, Nick Steinbacher, for
Arbor Day 2007 was memorialized with a plaque unveiled by the Supervisor and
Nick's parents.
